I'm posting in step parenting as this is about my dsd but not about me as a step parent.
Dsd has been having problems with 1 particular girl since she started year 7 in September last year.
Both dh and dsd mum have been to the school, the guidance teacher (or something!) has sat down with both girls and apparently worked it out, girls have shaken hands only to revert back to the name calling, putting rubbish in dsd bag then getting others to laugh at her within a day or so.
Tonight dsd came home from school very withdrawn and on gently pressing her she burst into tears to say this girl has been once again calling her names and not letting her take part in the group activity in class. If dsd has told the teacher she is then called a snake.
She says she feels small and invisible, that she's worried about going into school tomorrow because she's fed up of pretending she's not bothered when she is. It's taken dh and I 2 hours to calm her and get her into bed though she's still worried and therefore restless.
The school don't appear to take bullying very seriously. Does anyone have any suggestions other than perhaps asking for dsd to be moved classes so they aren't together?
I feel so sad for her
