Rear seat / Front seat for bike ride (which is best)?

Hi...

Looking to start taking the youngest on bike rides with us and a teenager... The yougest being 18months.

Can anyone give some pros/cons on your experience with a front carrier or back carrier seat for carrying a baby in?

I like the thought of a front carrier as I feel like id be able to balance more and baby can have a better view.

Any pointers from anyone who has used either would be grateful? Also is a hard slog? 😂

I believe the back ones are supposed to be safer, compared to the front ones, so I would probably go for one of them or a bike trailer
