I’ve tried popping it but the angle is difficult and it just refills. I had no idea you could even get them there! Any ideas how to deal?!

If this doesn’t resolve in a few days, you need to get it checked by your gp AND your dentist.

I had this on the inside of my lip. Can't remember what it's called, kept bursting it and it just refilled. The doctor had to cauterise it in the end.

Why Pottering? I’m meant to be going on holiday in a couple of hours!!

Because i would be worried that it was something serious and you’ve said yourself you can’t get rid of it and I wouldn’t want to leave that or let the pus seep and develop and infection. It might just be a cold sore - I think you can get them in your mouth. But I’d want someone with medical knowledge to tell me that, especially if you’ve never had it before.

I suppose it depends where you’re going on holiday? UK for a few days? Fine, book an appointment for getting back. The USA for a month? I’d want it looking at before I went.

If it’s filling and draining repeatedly and won’t go it’s at best an infected somwthung. That may need treatment. You do not want a raging head infection on your holiday.

Also (and sorry to be worst case scenario ing you, it isn’t likely) All mouth lesions that don’t clear up within a normal timeframe need a dentist and doc follow up. Oral cancer is not common but it’s something you need to run by someone who can look at it properly.

Try a mouthwash of hot (as hot as you can bear) salted water, or if you have it a very diluted tea tree oil - DO NOT SWALLOW!! Repeat hourly and see if that helps.

Try some Peroxyl mouthwash, it's great for minor mouth irritations.
