Milk Blister?

Merry Christmas everyone from a very sleep deprived new Mum.

Spent all night dealing with a very engorged breast as I kept trying to feed through it, with baby becoming more frustrated and hungry trying to feed from an ever-hardening, non-productive, blocked breast.

After hours of pumping and squeezing and soaking in the bath and pummelling it with the shower head with no success, I decided to take drastic action.

I had followed every piece of internet advice, but to me my pore seemed blocked like a whitehead, so I gritted my teeth and gave it a good old squeeze like it was a spot. And BOOM. I could HEAR the pop. Milk explosion.

And following the explosion, the relief. The milk kept running and the boob visibly deflated with every passing second.

Knackered now, but still reliving that phenomenal pop, spurt and relief. Baby happy now too - hoorah!

Merry Christmas!

Sounds like a milk blister. Mine never popped like that, I'm jealous!

Happy sigh!

I thought you were speaking about your baby. Mine had a ‘sucking blister’ that was actually a strawberry birthmark on his lip.
