DS is 12. He has HFA. He's been bullied for years at primary school and started secondary school last year. We moved quite some distance to get into catchment for this school as we felt ds needed a fresh start.
He's made friends with another boy who has AS. I was pleased at first. This other boy though is always in trouble - not doing class work, not doing homework, in detention etc. DS, up until now, had been polite and courteous, does homework etc and generally wants to get on. He's in the thick of puberty and his behaviour is dreadful, constant rudeness and backchat, surliness and general unpleasantness. At the moment, he's keeping up with his school work but I'm concerned about this other friendship which I feel is unhealthy. This other boy isn't interested in making other friends, despite the other kids trying. He seems obsessed with my ds - they went to a maths clubs this week and the other boy sat and watched my ds do maths. My ds says he can't get away from him.
I feel at a loss as to what to do. My ds is a bright lad, he could do well. I have no extra support at all so there's no one to ask
