J has been to the special school for the past two days and he LOVES IT
He has made a friend...Colin...same Dx as J and teachers report that they are "partners in crime"....yipppeeeeeeeee!!!!

Bizzarre you may think that I am so elated that he is committing a class crime already....the crime....blowing up a whoppie cushion and putting it on teachers chair during free play...my boy laughed his socks off apparently when teacher went along with the joke and sat on it....Im such a happy mommy tonight but best of all my boy is happy as can be.

I think Colin is going to be a good friend for my boy.

I sure am Davros. I know I had my concerns not long back about it being the right placement for J, but having had a really positive chat with the new head teacher Im certainly much more relaxed about J attending the school.

The head teacher is also very interested in ABA an has had experience of other children with ASD being on the programme. She workd in a London based special school before taking the post here and is collecting some more reading material for me about the ABA programme.

Plus the head teacher has approached me to go on to the board of governors...something I am seriously considering.

thanks for sharing that with us, i think it takes another parent of a child with SN to really understand the joy we feel when something great like this happens, glad he likes his school, will he be full time in september ?
