After the nonsense saga with J's DLA, I wrote a letter of complaint to the DWP.
Got a phone call after that from a nice guy who is the manager of the decision makers who made the shite odd decisions in J's case. 5 times . He did sound genuinely embarassed and sorry and said, to reflect his team's mistakes, there will be a special compensatory payment made and, even better, will be training the DMs better on autism/ ASD issues so that similar mistakes are not made for others
The special payment paid me back for all the phone calls, photocopying and postage, paid all the interest on the back payment and also an award for inconvenience. Came to a few hundred pounds.
