Dietitian recommended to Pediatrician in July that ds be referred to feeding clinic and CAMHS.

Pediatrician told me in October that he will refer to CAMHS, but cannot refer to feeding clinic as he had never heard of a feeding clinic! He suggested that i ask Dietitian to refer!

Just phoned the feeding clinic and have been told referral can only come from CAMHS and i havent even received referral letter yet.

Ds has now reduced his diet down to toast and grapes for every meal, what the bloody hell am i suppose to do in the meantime

How frustrating!!
Is it worth writing to Camhs yourself or better still getting the dietitian to write asking for an urgent referral to the feeding clinic? Whilst we were waiting to see Camhs we got an appointment through for something else. I think who ever screened the letter from the dev paed must have asked for this and it came through sooner than the camhs appointment.

On the phone to CAMHS at the moment, there is nothing they can do until they receive the referral letter from Paed. Paed is saying it was sent on the 9th October, they are all going home for the day now and will have to wait until tomorrow for another copy to be sent!

Feeding clinic will only take referrals from CAMHS. Once they receive referral letter, there is at least a 10 week wait, IF they decide to take on the referral.

Its ridiculous.
