Hi - Apologies in advance if this isn't the right board for posting. My DD just turned three will be having an Inclusion Officer assess her when she starts back at playgroup in September. Playgroup had some concerns about her not "doing more" at sessions. From what I can gather she sits and watches rather than joins in and if she does attempt to join in at something it is only for a short amount of time. She also can become a little upset if the routine at playgroup changes. I was hoping that somebody would be able to advise me on the sorts of things the Inclusion Officer would be observing. Thank you x

I recently had an inclusion officer visit my son. I am not sure exactly what they will observe. With my son she came for a meeting with me and the nursery's senco and we discussed our concerns, looked through his eyfs folder and talked about what he can and cant do then she observer my son. We then had another meeting in which she and the senco started writing an IEP. x
