Hi
We saw DS's teachers today and had a really good parents meeting with them.
They clearly understand DS has problems with routine and anxiety issues - need to sit by the same person etc- and that he gets stressed about change.
He is doing well at school and they admit that this is masking things to a certain extent.
They suggested having some sessions with him about 'change' to prepare him for the new school year. They also made suggestions for playtime etc. They also suggested flagging this up for possible intervention from the Ed psych at the beginning of next term.
I have also been in touch with the community paed who is getting us speeding up our referral to CAMHS - for support.
Thanks to all those who posted with advice and suggestions over the last few days. It really helped!
Thanks to all those
