Free insulation if you claim DLA

A friend of mine alerted me to this. British Gas are at the moment offering free loft insulation and cavity wall insulation, if appropriate (i.e your house is suitable for it - they will send someone to assess) to households who claim certain benefits and one of them on the list is DLA. Go here or call 0845 605 2535 quoting reference HTHH. All applications must be received by 30th June 2005.

British Gas are cheeky beggars for using an 0845 number, tut tut.

Sounds like the same scheme as Warm Front - FREEPHONE 0800 952 1555.

You don't have to get DLA to qualify - depends what other benefits you get. Only benefit we get is WFTC and we had our loft insulation topped up and draught proofing put on all windows and doors.

there come and check everything like that including boilers, ive just arranged to have my mams done..they're great and theres a list of benefits as well as having children under 16 at home

woops that was meant about warm front(theyve done this hosue and my last house and they were really good)
