Ideas for pressies for taxi driver and escort

The school term finishes next week and I know already that it will be a different taxi driver in September and possibly a different escort too . I would like to buy them both a present to say thank you for looking after ds over the last academic year - they have both been totally fab and very reliable. I will be gutted to lose one, if not both of them.

Any suggestions are welcome - I don't know them that well (just a quick chat at collection and drop off time) but above and beyond the usual chocolates and alcohol (not really suitable for a driver?!), I'm struggling!

I'm a home/school transport escort and really don't expect anything from parents, but the nicest little gifts, for me personally, are cards where the child has added their own, personal touch. I always keep mine.

We (the driver and I) usually get a box of choccies which is just perfect.

Ds (obsessed with plants!) potted up some annuals into posher pots for his escort and driver! (I hope they survive till Monday they are getting lots of loving attention!)

I often give a "posh" pot of jam / honey / lemon curd as end of year presents. I think it will have some use in most households and is slightly less predictable than chocolates or alcohol. (Also slightly less expensive since Ds2 has 5 TAs and two teachers in his class currently!).

I make up a big batch of rocky road - recipe somewhere on mumsnet - put it in plates/mugs/bowls etc wrap up - dd1 deorates card - add recipe.

Use dark, milk or white choc.

scroll down for recipe

We have a craft market out near us and so I am able to get one off pottery plates/dishes etc to put them in.

Well I went for the 'easiest' option (in terms of time and effort required!) and bought wine and Lily O'Brien chocolates - I left them to decide who got what (they know each other well enough to 'squabble' it out!!). Thanks again.
