Not read either of those. I've read the Idiot's Guide to Autism (it's quite good, comprehensive as to the different types of intervention), and I'm part way through "Playing, Laughing and Learning with Children on the Autistic Spectrum", which I'm finding very good - sensible and compassionate.

I've reviewed could it be autism and there's a link to the first signs website.

If you click on Amazon resources there are a whole bunch of books there that I think are good.

Well i have read quite alot of the book and it hasn't really made me any the wiser as to whether i think DS has ASD, he does tick some boxes but not others. So i guess i will have to hold tight till we have the assessment. The book has definately filled in some blanks for me about what to expect from assessment and has given very useful advice to prepare for it. Also i feel more prepared about what questions to ask both before DX and after. Pleased i bought it as it has lots of advice on where to go and how to deal with DX if i get it. Thanks for the first signs website tip it's very helpful!
