Dla renewal

Hi

PLease can you help?

DT1 dla up for renewal in January, forms are here and near complete.

If I send them back now will they act on it now?

By this I mean

1. If he gets awarded a higher amount will we get it now or in January
   
   
2. If they think he should get lower(will go nuts if they do) will that get actioned now or in January

personally iw ouldn't send them in yet- but do earlya s DS3's ahve been there 4 months and sill being done , I know they ahve good reports and Paed told me she'd back us and I sent the rest myself after reading them

Ds1's renewal was processed about 2 months before his original DLA was due to run out. He went from middle-rate care to higher-rate care and lower-rate mobility. The new award didn't start until the original one had ended. I've forgotten the exact dates but it was something like:

• Original DLA set to run out in mid-April 2007
  
  
• Posted completed renewal forms in December 2006
  
  
• Received letter about decision in February
  
  
• New award started from mid-April.

Ours was refused today grrrrrr. having to appeal- drat! Like I need that TAM, with LEA statemnt going abck to panel etc

i'm just about sending my renewal in...this award finishes in 3 weeks...and i have just put off doing the forms...i know i've ballesed up...and if they agree to renew there will be gap whilst they sort it out...but its a catch 22 situation...claiming on mental health grounds is a bugger...you get more depressed the more you have to describe 'all your worst days'

and...ds2's award runs out in october- so i have his queing up as soon as mine is gone.
