An opportunity has come up for my family to move 50 miles away. It would mean that we would be mortgage free and both myself and my husband could work on our business from home full time. My son has recently started secondary school and the relocation of such a move would be upsetting for him. He has an asd diagnosis and will be assessed for adhd shortly. I think the long term prognosis of the move would be good for him as there would be more family time to support him. He doesn't have any particular friendship groups at school but of course he likes the familiar. I'm quite conflicted by the situation as I don't want to upset him. We also have a younger child who is doing well at school and the thought of moving him from his friendship groups is quite upsetting. Is there anyone else who has relocated a child with support needs. Could you please give me some advice? Thank you.
