My DD is 1, has GDD and hypotonia. Undergoing tests for lots of awful conditions. I like to take her swimming. Due to her getting heavier and her low muscle tone is is very difficult to shower her in the communal showers and to get her changed after. The baby change tables are very hard to use with a floppy wet one year old.
In the changing rooms there is a disabled change. The table has a grippy surface. It has its own shower that has a removable shower head and a shower chair which I could sit on whilst I shower her.
I suppose I'm wondering if it is OK for us to use these facilities given she is only 1 and technically still fits on a baby change.
I think I'm worried that someone in a wheelchair will come along and accuse me of using the facilities.
