Shortie wetsuit. My (NT) 7 yr old complained he was cold in his swimming lesson. One wetsuit later no problem! (About the temperature at least!)

Hi, yes my DS used to wear a wetsuit (Two Bare Feet ones just from Amazon, easy to find but have to figure out the sizing). They're a lot thicker than rash vests and kept him warm when we did swimming classes at a cold pool smile

Wetsuit is definitely warmer. And if it's itchy, put the rash vest underneath (which is what they're originally designed for).
