Hello
We've been contacted by a representative of the Paediatric Psychology Network; they have an event coming up in London (sorry, as ever, to those of you not in London!) on March 9 (3pm-5pm) to discuss 'Delivering psychological services for children and young people with physical health needs'. It will be attended by physicians and representatives from the NHS, as well as parents and family members, and the organisers say: 'This is an opportunity to hear some young people and parents tell their stories of their experience of being in hospital or living with a long-term condition and to discuss the ways in which psychological services can be helpful."
The event is based around Paper 5 of this journal (p73 of the PDF), which discusses how these services should be delivered.
We thought it might be of interest to some parents and carers. So if you'd like to attend, please email [email protected] and mention that you've read about the event on Mumsnet. Dr O'Curry should also be able to answer any questions you have about the event.
Thanks
