Did anyone hear him on LBC this afternoon? I missed it and anyway it would probably have been bad for my blood pressure. I'm not impressed if they've been giving him free publicity.

Fairly incredible how his career is still in tact. What was he saying?

I still haven't listened but it may well be available as a podcast. Someone who did listen said he was up against a mother who was pretty feisty and robust and basically he was saying it wasn't his fault, the system is crap. Which is right, but he's done his best to make it more so. He also apparently said something about the tribunal system being awash with money and the mother pointed out that he'd done very nicely indeed out of it; also he said that people shouldn't have lawyers - something that I strongly suspect he never suggested to his local authority clients.

Has anyone found a podcast of this yet?

There's a link on this page but it looks like you have to subscribe. Does anyone already have a podcast subscription for LBC?

Recent update on BBC News

Quote:

A law firm criticised for mocking parents of children with special needs has been paid millions of pounds in legal fees by local authorities.

Baker Small, which tweeted gloating comments about families it had won cases against, has secured £3m in payments and contracts since 2010.

A total of £3m was earmarked for - or paid to - the company by local authorities across the country between 2010 and 2016; £1.7m was earmarked or spent in the last year.

BBC analysis of Ministry of Justice data shows councils currently lose 86% of cases that go to tribunal, despite spending millions on legal advisors such as Baker Small.
