responding to EHC Plan with what's wrong with it - how much detail should I put in here?

I have just received EHC plan for my dd. This is likely to be stage 1 in long fight to get suitable specialist provision as we are gearing up for appeal to win place at independent ASD provision. The EHC plan contains some inaccuracies about what dd can and can't actually do as well as loads of vague recommendations about 'activities designed to help do this that or the other. Am slightly unsure about how detailed to make my objections at this stage. Do I say everything that I think is wrong with it at this stage or do I just give a short list and leave the rest for the inevitable wranglings that will occur later on? I am waiting for OT report so there will be recommendations in there later and I am going to be getting further SALT assessment in September so there will certainly be more things need changing later on.

Now is your chance to start making changes, they will have written it only using existing reports and if they didnt have your new reports may not include them now without arranging a full on Interim review meeting!

Are you getting legal support? If not I would speak to IPSEA this does sound quite complicated!

Good luck Flowers

Oh meant to say, you could certainly ask for all the vague language to be sorted out! They know they are supposed to to that and it will slow the process down and give you chance to speak to someone Smile
