Hi everyone. My son is suspected to be on the autism spectrum and is currently waiting for tests from the school (looking into doing it private to save the wait). He is like Jekal and Hyde and is very unpredictable with his moods, switches very rapidly and can be very angry. We also have a one year old and we plan on having another in the near future. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on how to deal with his behaviour? as with most autistic children he doesn't accept punishment and just sees it as us being horrible, doesn't understand it. I have tried calming techniques with him but sometimes he just gets so het up that calming him is a mission. any advice is very much welcome. Thank you in advance

Hello, the school DS goes to works closely with CAMS which is a child psychologists in our area, they also have an autism specialist who goes to the school every two weeks. He will be seen by her first for an initial diagnosis and then be referred to the psychologists for more thorough tests to get an official diagnosis. Thank you for your tips, I will have a look. x
