Can we come to amicable solution rather than go to tribunal?

That was the question left by the lea on my answer machine.

I have not seen the NIL yet so what do I object too?

As far as I am aware a NIL is nothing, that's my problem. My son has has a life long learning disability that's my problem. My son scores in the bottom 1% of functioning that's my problem. My son deserves to learn, that's my problem.

What I am expected to do?

Is this normal procedure? You either belive the NIL is correct and go the tribunal knowing your right and this silly little mummy will be made to look like a total idiot, or you don't issue a NIL

Can I explode now???!!!!

Yes, of course we can come to an amicable solution. For me, that would involve a legally enforcible statement of my son's needs and the provision necessary to meet those needs. Thank you.

Exactly. Surely they could see this coming?

I know what I like to do with the NIL when I get it.....

They're hoping to pull the wool over your eyes. The fact that this leaves your ds without enforceable support is of no concern to them whatsoever.

The only amicable solution being, "you give my DC a proper legally binding Statement, and in return, I won't make you have to explain yourself to a judge"

Is this "silly season" for LAs? At the moment, some of the stories on this board about LAs are unbelievable.

Keep going 2boys.

i wonder if part of this silly season is because of the new EHCP coming in sept so in the months leading up to it they are just being ridicoulous. I heard the other day due to the new plans coming, the whole sen teams jobs in my area are under evaluation so no one knows what their jobs will be in sept so the whole thing is descending into chaos
