Derbyshire language scheme

I know this has been mentioned on here before.

Could anyone refresh my memory? Key points about the scheme, and likely usage scenarios?

Broadly, what are the levels (have had a quick google, and it seems to be split into 3 sections? roughly what do these sctions incorporate, and what level of language would you expect t each level/before progressing to the next level?)

How is the scheme delivered? what type of activities etc?

Thanks

I will go through my old email when I can - I did email someone ( in guess where derbyshire) about this a year or so ago and he sent me some information about the assessment scheme.

Silverfrog, - absolutely nothing to do with your OP, sorry, but we did something today and thought you might like the idea.

Covered Ds' hands in pink poster paint and he printed them, next to each other on card and let dry. Covered dd's hands in red and she placed them just below but hugely overlapping and srinkled glitter on the wet paint.

That made a sparkly flowerhead. Then painted ds' feed light green and put them each side of paper as leaves and then I painted a dark green stalk.

They're fab and I'm so excited as I was always rubbish at art and this was all my own idea so I think everyone should do it Grin

Grin

dd2 did very similar in her nursery year - handprints making up flower head and leaves - I have it framed I was so giddily pleased by the simplicity Blush (and of course dd2 is an artistic genius Wink Grin)

I do like the idea of combining them all though - might try that when dd1 is on half term next week.

Ta muchly.

Sorry, that should say ds' feet! grrr!

It's soooo cute (even though ds' feet are actually enourmous). I think I'm going to scan it in and send them as thank you cards for Christmas prezzies etc.

We needed card that was a little bit bigger than A4 though.

Anyway, - thanks for indulging me. I hope you get the information you ACTUALLY asked for.

Nothing like asking for some information on something to help your children progress and being given information on what can make YOU happy but won't have much effect on the kids progression eh?
