Ds2's Lea SEN officer has issued an amended statement within 3 weeks of me phoning him re. Concerns about ds2s provision.
He has completely re-written part 3 clearly spelling out the provision ds must receive, quantified & specified.
I nearly bloody fainted.
I think I love him.
There is not a single mistake & I dont need to make any amendments...just sign & return!

Maybe I should just point him in the direction of the sn board. I will include a thank you note & if I ever meet him he'll get a big sloppy kiss, poor man!

Great news indeed!!.

Do send this person a letter thanking him for his work on Part 3 of the statement.

Wow! That's so good to hear, especially after some of he horror stories I've read about on here. Mind you, it should be the norm not the exception! I'm really pleased for you. :)

Great news! Well done! I am sure that you must have been very persuasive.
So encouraging to know that LAs CAN be reasonable

Which LA? Maybe we should all move there?

Gosh! Amazing!
We had a lovely LEA officer who agreed to almost all of out requests at a meeting - then left suddenly leaving the statement to be issued unchanged! Nightmare. I hope your LEA officer survives!

I will share the name of our LEA for a small cash fee or large amount of chocolate! I dont think I was particularly persuasive, he just seems to get it

Nah, sorry. We had an amended statement with all of my requested changes within a week, no argument, and that was four years ago. Grin

But yay, anyway! Grin
