Friday Night Again and still too tired to ........

Hi all its me starting againGrin.

We have had the most insane week, Dd3 was 9 on Monday and got a Dx of ASD!!!

We are still in shock I think although we are looking forward to moving forward.

Dd3 has had a funny week at school, she has felt sick on numerous occasions which is usually a sign of anxiety, I kept her off one morning because I wasn't sure but took her in at lunchtime because she was fine.

She got herself sent home today with the same thing. I was worried that the honeymoon period at the new school was over,

until

At 4.00pm her teacher phoned me to say he was worried about her because she had cried in the classroom!!

Bless him, I think we will be able to sort this hiccup out in no timeGrin.

Hi Ineed. Glad you're starting to get over the DX shock. Do you think your DD has been over stressed by her birthday and that may be the cause of her anxiety this week?

I've got a friend coming to stay this weekend, up from Cornwall. She's an old school friend who has known dickhead and myself for years, so I'm looking forward to her support and company. The tonic is chilling and the lemons bought...

DS2 is still having a bit of a hard time on the school bus. If there's no seat he gets stressed and very vocally upset which is getting him some unwelcome attention.

Ooh, friend has arrived. Have fun tonight!

Hi Ineed sounds like the teacher could be a good one.

EllenJane have a good weekend won't you.

We're off to the coast tomorrow decided to take advantage of the weather. Not sure when we'll be back I thought Wednesday but dh is saying Saturday so who knows?

It should be the first holiday this year where I'm not sorting stuff for the solicitor so it could be good although expecting LGO to be in touch midweek.

Having a break before ds starts the transition to new school anyway.

ellen, hope you've some gin to go with that Grin have fun! Ds1 has had a few problems this week, must make it back onto the thread.

ineed, happy birthday to your dd3, hope school gets sorted for her Smile

dd3 has had another good week at her new ss, I have a Grin on my face still, it's just so different from last year I can't quite believe it. We've also heard from the family fund that they will fund dd3 an ipad, she is going to be so happy, she's not been able to access the computer properly yet so this will be huge. Only downside to the week is hearing that the pct want to stop funding piedros, apparently we can just buy them ourselves Hmm

hope you have a lovely time away insanity and that you have a great weekend with your mate ellen,

Hi to everyone else.

bit of a mixed week here... ds bit someone, (I was boiling inside, as he has a full time one to one, and I think it was a bit of the school thinking, oh he's ok and not believing the statement (and me!), but put my pragmatic head on, and just made lots of helpful suggestions, (while ringing our fab SLT who is going in school in next few days, to get her to "re-iterate" his language needs, and thus support needed.) Am keeping very good records for myself though, {sign laughs evilly!}

In general ok week and ds wanted little friend to come back and play after school today, Grin Grin. First time ever he has asked for that. so that was lovely, but he couldn't sit still for the local paper reception class photo, so his TA said "don't bother buying the paper, he's not in it." Sad. which I feel really sad about..... silly really.

Anyway college starts next week, and I have been chatting with unpa1dcar3r, who is fab, so all in all, on balance a good week... How are you all?

Ellen... I hope you have a good weekend with your friend, you could be right about Dd3 being stressed after her birthday but we are also still having major problems with me looking after DGD, I am going into school next week to see if the SENCO has any ideas which might help.

Insanity, I think you could be right about the teacherSmile. Have a lovely holiday, I am sure you have earned it.

Ninja ThankyouSmile.

Ellen no singing with all that gin now Grin have a great time with your mate x

Insanity enjoy your break!

Sign Good luck with college Grin

Mixed week here on top of the hell of a week last week. Eldest dd ended up hospitalised when I finally managed to convince the idiots we call the medical experts that she didnt have a bug (she suffered for a week whilst convincing them) and it was something way more serious. Anyhow drips and antibiotics and four days later she is back home thank god and resting. This as you can imagine threw DS right out of sync with the putting down MIL dog episode last week and now his sis disappearing. Needless to say school was the usual non sympathetic selves and DS has had one hard time and 8 days of no sleep.

On the plus side.............Hmm Dh has just made me a cuppa and handed me a wispa bar Grin

Good evening all. Just got back from a couple hours in the A&E where we had a lump of blue tack removed from DS2's ear. His biggest concern after it was finally out? He was upset because he couldn't have the blue tack back!! Hmm

A big week, Ineed.

We've had an insane week in a different way. 2 days when DS1 refused to walk home from school and DH had to come rescue us (not fun in this heat - and his phone was off one day, so waited over an hour - DS2 was beside himself. This was all because DS1 had lost his lunch bag). Another day when DS1 had a huge breakdown at school (still upset over his lunch bag and swimming was cancelled) and had half the staff in tears or wanting him as far away as possible because he really went on the rampage :(.

We had a day of "education elsewhere" today and he was really obviously knackered.

I have Wine

Triggles · 30/09/2011 22:40

ouryve - sounds like an exhausting week! Enjoy the wine! (we're sipping cider here Grin)

insanity - enjoy your weekend away! sounds like fun!

Ellen - have a great weekend with your friend!

ineed - a relief to get the diagnosis? by the time we get one (a few years, we're told), I'm not sure what I'll do with it at that point LOL

ninja - so glad it was another good week!

sign - glad it was overall a positive week. Those little things like pictures still seem like a big thing sometimes, don't they?

coff33pot - glad your DD is feeling better and yay for the wispa bar... I'm going to have to speak to my DH as he hasn't brought ME any chocolate Hmm that slacker!! Grin

justa - oh my! glad they didn't end up operating. eewww earwigs! I hate them!!

I can beat that, not only did my dh not bring me chocolate, he ate nearly half the chocolate I had bought to treat myself... Shock Grin

altho I have to say in his defense I do regularly get brought naughty things to eat and he did think it was 'communal chocolate' Grin

Report
TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 01/10/2011 08:54

my dh didn't get me any chocolate either, coff33 you are a lucky lady Grin Hope your dd is ok and ds settles again soon, doesn't sound much fun.

sign, not sure I'm familiar with the phrase 'communal chocolate' Grin Good luck with college, is it teaching you're doing?

ouryve, hope next week is better, can't wait for half term already here, dd3 is knackered.

triggles, dd1 once stuck a bead up her nose at school because she was bored, she'd wedged it up there well and good so that was an a&e job but they did give it back to her afterwards in a little pot, she was well chuffed Hmm

justa, good job they realised it was just wax Shock

hey, ninja, I have the screw they took out the titanium rod in my leg... does that trump dd's bead? Grin. you can feel the head of the other screw if you press my ankle in a certain place.... TMI? Grin

yeah PGCE for adults, two year part time, (and if I pull my finger out enough in 2nd year could do extra modules and do a Masters instead/as well)...

Just getting head round being the one writing the essays instead of marking them.... Hmm.

Have gone down another dress size... bought jeans in the (un disclosed) size I am now, still a fraction tight, but more to go, and that's 3 dress sizes now. {sign does a "less-flabby-but-now-rather-floppy" dance round the living room.} hey I could be 'signandslim' Grin.

Daft question - of course you're not.

Hope you are being well looked after and everything heals quickly.

Just got back to this. I've had a nice weekend, lots of G & T, lots of chat and too much food. We're in agreement about dickhead, she's known him for 28 years and she's not impressed!

Ben10, hope you are feeling much better today, and the hospital is still spoiling you. At least you have MN to keep you entertained. X
