started of quite well, ds in good form. post came, with a blue badge rejection letter, ds doesnt meet criteria, even with support letter from gp and sw. phone call later from social worker, saying summer scheme ds meant to be going to next week, he now cant, as the staff dont think they could cope with his behaviour, so now have to find childcare for next week. uniform grants still not been sent out, and dont have a spare £70 for uniform, by the time cheque clears he'll be back at school, and no uniforms in his size.

and breathe, rant over, sorry to bore you all.

Sorry you are having such a bad day :(

Is there an appeal process for the blue badge? That's awful about the summer scheme - there is really so little for children with SN around here isn't there! We weren't able to get DS1 into any private nurseries or pre pre school groups! We'll find out tomorrow if he's getting a part time prepre school place at our local SN school (you probably know which one there's not many) so I will probably be joining you tomorrow as I dont think for one minute we'll get a place!

Anyway hope you get something sorted for next week! Ps did you go to the EST open day?

We'd have loved Segal but we're in the wrong trust area! We're hoping for prepre at Clifton and then nursery at tor bank next year!! I'm going to try and go for the coffee morning on the 23rd! We couldn't go at the weekend unfortunately!!

£70 for tor bank uniform??????!!!

i usually get mine in july. the shop school days do offers up to 11th july, with 2 sweatshirts, 2 polo shirts, 2 trousers and the coat for £55, if u want jogging bottoms instead of trousers its an extra £10. thats what i done. although i was able to get a uniform grant, which helps a lot. ds has really come on since being in tor bank. think segal are struggling this year, over subscribed.

Yeah - I'm sure it is it seems to be the only SN nursery here! :( They joined two trusts together and although we live in the one big one now under the legacy trusts we live in the wrong one so that's makes us ineligible to apply, which is a bit unfair I think! They base their intake on the old trust areas! We didn't hear today from the board today, so fingers crossed they'll call tomorrow!
