As parents of autistic or other children with special needs, we have our problems but I thought it would be lovely so share our funny times, our happy times, the times when we just want to laugh, when autism brings joy to our lives.'
SO I'll start off and would love it it you would share your funny autistic or SN moments.
Here we go:
I am big on telling my child that he is smart, he can be who he wants to be, achieve anything he wants to so long as he puts the work in at school. I tell him that if he doesn't work at school he'll end up on a till going bleep bleep bleep all day. I think I am doing the right thing.... Until.........
We go into Asda and he asks the young man on the till.... you've guessed it.....
Do you have to work on a till and do a crap job because you didnt bother at school?
I remonstrate with said child telling him it is rude, to which he totally drops me in it, saying "that's what you told me mum". Just as I wanted a huge hole to swallow me up the young lad on the till said he thought my son was hysterical and burst into laughter.
Thank goodness.
When have you found humour is SN?
