More House School Farnham - homework

Does anyone here have a child at More House? I'm wondering how much homework is typical for Y7. DS has ASC and dyslexia and this school looks fantastic but homework is a real issue with him, and with transport he'd not be getting home until gone 5 so can't see it going well? Do they set less as their school day is so long?

Anyone at all? Second or thirdhand anecdotes perfectly acceptable Grin

My DD started there in September. He has a really long journey home too and is exhausted by end of the day. But, importantly, he's happy. He is chatty about what he has learned, he's engaged in stuff for the first time. And he does his homework without a battle!

At the minute he has about 20 mins a night Monday to Wednesday in core subjects and it is pitched at a level that he can succeed at. They are a hugely understanding, patient, kind bunch of teachers so I'd say don't let homework be a decider.

Hello, I’ve got a boy starting year 7 and boarding. We are all really worried about boarding but we can’t move - jobs in London and two other children here at London schools. My boy is ASD and craves quiet in the evening, I haven’t been that impressed with the boarding facilities I saw but would love any mums feedback.
