I’m moving into the area (Hampstead) and looking around for my DS1. He’s only little now (2.5) but I’d love to get an idea of the best schools- private and state- for SEN.
Because he’s so little, DSs challenges and strengths aren’t clear yet, but at the moment he’s presenting as very academic but with some sensory issues and some anxiety. Could be ASD (but with no speech or communication issues so far). I’d love to hear about positive (and negative) experiences of primary and secondary schools that actually take their SEN provisions seriously.
At the moment we are looking at a mix of state and private. Private school wise our list includes Heathside, Devonshire House, Annemount and Highgate (although of course he may very well not get in to any number of them.)
Would very much appreciate any advice. I’m woefully inexperienced at all of this.
