Hi there,

Just wanted to get some thoughts on this matter. I have no relationship with my sons class teacher and he’s now coming to the ends of his reception year.
He is away from the main classroom in the mornings in a smaller group of Sen children with two TA’s (overseen by the School SENco). So he spends around 2 hours in class in the afternoon with a one to one.
The issue I have is he had one parent/teacher evening but I was seen by the nursery nurse who is painfully shy and couldn’t shed any light on how he’s getting on intergrating with the other children.
I just find it odd that the teacher has never offered any tips/strategies or general help throughout the year.
Is this normal? I’ve asked to meet her but just wondered if it’s dependant on the teacher or you as a parent as to how much contact you have. In this case none aside from a good morning. (I collect him slightly early so not at school gates for pick up). Also quite isolated from other mums but that’s probably another post !!!

Thanks all.
