SEN TA job

A TA job has come up in the school I work for as clerk to the governors. I also volunteer in their Autism Base so I'm thinking of applying.

Is anyone able to tell me what 'knowledge of educational initiatives' would refer to in this context? It's listed as essential in the person spec.
