Specialist Dyslexia assessors - what do you charge to do assessments?

I'm a teacher with AMBDA, and qualified to do Dyslexia assessments. I've never yet done them privately. Could anyone who does this tell me what they charge for an assessment? I would probably be using subtests from WIAT11, CTOPP2 and DASH.
Thanks

Peppa, keep nagging at the school. Our DS' school won't regonsie the results of a private dyslexia test and won't test in KS1 unless it's really obvious and obviously impeding learning. You may have to wait until age 7 or KS2 for the school to test but they should still be putting support in place - assistance with reading 1:1 etc.

Thanks all! Peppa - if you want to go private check for teachers registered with the British Psychological Society.

Also 5 is a bit young, he could change a lot in a few years. Perhaps wait until he's 7 or 8, then organise something if you're seeing the same issues. Do a lot of reading with him.

Hi all,

I've known around £450 to be appropriate. Just a professional word of warning: firstly; no school needs to recognise any private reports.
Schools MUST recognise NEEDS, if they are present at any age. All schools should be offering good quality first teaching, and the majority of primary schools will offer multi sensory learning to deliver their curriculum.
The usefulness of reports can come in at Secondary age, especially around GCSEs.

My experience as a SENCo is that parents seem to pay £200+ for a private Specialist Teacher assessment and £500 + for an EP assessment.

PATOSS has a list of specialist teachers who are registered to assess.
