Slings and backpacks

Best sling for around the house?

I have a 4mo who is going through a clingy phase. I have Solly and Boba wraps that are useful for naps but I want something that I can put on quickly when he's in the mood to be carried everywhere and I need to get stuff done. He just isn't fussed on the Solly or Boba when he wants to be awake and look around. I'm thinking a ring sling would be best, does that sound right or would something else be better? Which ones are best?
Would preferably like to get something that will last me a few months, and not too pricey.

For me ring slings never worked as they weren't very secure. Instead I use "carryme" sling. About £50 but it's so worth it and fast to put on and adjustible.

Not quite a sling but I love my connecta, it's so easy to put on. I found my sling a lot of fuss and it put me off using it.

Thanks both. I'll have a look at connecta, haven't heard of them before. Nelly, do you mean the Kari-me? I had a look and it looks similar to the ones I already have.

You might also want to try the ByKay sling, my DS loved it.

My daughter rode in the sling until she was three and she loved to sleep & nurse while I’m even shopping. With my daughter, I started out with a front carrier and it really worked for me to get my stuff done much easily. Recently I gifted my friend one for her first baby and you can check it out on <a class="break-all" href="//www.amazon.co.uk/Caboo-Cotton-Blend-Position-Graphite/dp/B016KH84O0?psc=1&SubscriptionId=AKIAJXIY36IRC3UVWHAQ&tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21" rel="nofollow noindex" target="_blank">Amazon

I use my connecta out and about as it folds small in my bag but I use a sleepy nico in the house because it's so comfy for both of us.

Thanks all. I managed to get an Ergo 360 cheap on eBay so have been using that. First impressions really good, and DS seems to like falling asleep in it which is great!
