Carrier/wrap for twins?! birth +

Baby #5 & #6 maybe

I'm trying to find a decent wrap for twins from birth +, already have 6 month old twins and will still be in double stroller when newborn/s arrive. I have a moby wrap from when dd was a baby but not sure if it's okay for twins.

I don't like carriers that have their legs hanging or have their knees by their hips.

Any recommendations, just looking right now as it could may be just one baby but I need something to take my mind of further tests.

If you google sling libraries you should be able to find one in your area - they're often run by trained slingy people who can advise you and will be able to try them out / show you the best way.

You can find local sling support here www.babywearing.co.uk/localsupport/

You can carry two tiny twins in the same stretchy wrap. But only whilst they are very tiny....once both are above about 7lb they struggle to fit in.

It is possible to carry one baby on the back and one on the front, using a woven wrap on the back, but I would only recommend using a wrap on the back with a small baby if you are very experienced with both front and back wrapping a larger one. You could use the time during your pregnancy to carry your 6 month olds in woven wraps daily in order to really practice though. Another easier option would be to carry a small baby on the front in a stretchy wrap, an older one on the back in whatever is easiest (mei tai, woven wrap, buckle carrier) and then have one small one + one bigger one in the buggy. You tie the stretchy wrap on, but without baby in, put the elder one on your back, then pop the little baby into the stretchy.

There is a whole section on 'wearing more than one' here - you'll need to sign up to read it I think but that's quick and free and you won't get any spam. www.thebabywearer.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?59-Wearing-More-Than-One

Hoping for the very best for you re further tests.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, I'm against back carrying, I just don't feel it's safe and I wouldn't feel safe using them that way. I'll check out the website though :)

You are certainly right to not do something you're not comfortable with! But back carrying an older baby (6 months +) can be done very safely. There are ways to get them onto your back within the carrier, to minimise any falling risk, such as shown in this video here

Yeah, I'll be scared I'd struggle getting ds3/4 onto my back without hurting or dropping him, and front facing is just easier to access for me but I'll definitely look into it more :)

I've seen a video online for front carrying twins in two ring slings. I'm waiting for an rs to arrive and if I like it I'll get another. My twins are 3 months and I've got one in my back in at mei tai so not averse to popping the other on my front. It's going to take practice though.
Try youtube to see what's possible

MamaBlue here under new name.

It's twins! I have the ABC quad stroller which an Aunt sent us from Australia. So no need for a double sling! Thanks for all the advice!
