Weighting at meetings- shoes or not?

I went to my first meeting on tuesday and i took my shoes off before the scale LOL!

I thought it was normal as i had office shoes, kind of stilettos, easy to put on and off.

I noticed few seconds of marvel on the consultant's face.

Am i the only one to take the shoes off before going on the scale??

I take off shoes, coat AND cardie or jumper. Literally weigh in leggings and a vest top each week!

I have never seen anyone weigh in shoes. I wear the lightest clothes I can find!

Most people take them off, some leave them on...

Maybe she just liked your shoes?

I’d stand on the scales in my underwear if I could. Every gram counts Grin

I take off as much as possible and always wear the same clothes.

I dont suppose it matters as long as you wear similar clothes every week. But I have never seen anyone weigh in with their shoes on! Even without the weight, the scales could end up with mud all over it ready for the next person to stand on it!

Everyone takes off shoes at my group. I have also seen the following removed:
Phone out of jeans pocket
Glasses
Jewellery
Belt
And on one memorable occasion, a pair of jeans. That involved the use of the consultants info boards being used as modesty screens to hide her blushes (amongst other things...)

I'm on the social team at my group , on the scales- EVERYONE takes their shoes off. It's a busy group with upwards of 70 people through each week.

I was told by someone else at group that they’d seen someone take their trousers off once!

TMI Alert!

In order to get to target, I went to a morning meeting in just leggings, bra, vest top and jumper. To weigh-in I removed my jumper, but I wore
no: watch, ear-rings, sock or knickers!! I was bang on target.

The next weigh-in was in the evening and I was in normal, light clothes and I had put on 2.5lbs!!

The things we do get 'kind numbers' on the scales. Grin

Surely no shoes is normal!? Everyone does it at my class.

I also wear the same clothes every week, remove all jewellery and tie my hair up because I've convinced myself this makes me lighter GrinGrin

It makes a difference! Dont do slimming world but do weigh ins with my PT alongside every Saturday doing a progress check in with her.

So if I have a session on a Saturday, I will weigh myself that morning at home (naked!) And then will do a weigh in a fes hours later at the gym in my gym stuff (no trainers though) and am always around about .5kg heavier than I had at home.

The only time anyone wears their shoes at my group is if they are under the lower end of their target range and don't want to pay the next week!

Surely the marvel in the consultant's face was just imaginary, or maybe she was just happy you had joined? A consultant surely has seen all variants already - shoes on, shoes off, ...

I'm barefoot and in the same clothes every week. Can't kid myself it's the clothes and not the food. Wink
