Marathon training and slimming world

I'm a target member who has somehow managed to bag herself a place in the London Marathon!
Has anyone done slimming world alongside marathon training? I quite fancied a bowl of porridge before my run this morning, but didn't want to waste my a and b choice....

I am a target member, but not a marathon runner!
You can have extra healthy extras to maintain your weight when at target, and you will be using up more calories anyway, with your training.
It might just be a case of making sure that you weigh yourself once a week/ attend group, to keep things in check while seeing what works for you and basically what you can get away with.

Think about your food choices post running. A friend found she was gaining because she was having carbs and quite hungry but when she moved over to protein based snacks post running she maintained more.

I did a couple of years ago. I did a few things differently as I was happy to maintain not lose....

I didn't syn my gels for long runs.
Used syns for an extra hex b

Like pp said, just watch your post run treats!

Enjoy London- it is incredible!
