Some Aldi and Tesco good SW buys

Hi everyone. I'm starting .SW tomorrow. I'm doing it myself with books from eBay.
Going to do a stock up shop today. Can anyone steer me in the right direction on what to buy please.

I'm thinking particularly of own brand foods, e.g. Aldi, Tesco Sainsburys. This is where I do most of my shopping.

Are there any Aldi yogurts that are free please or any sun free or low syn chicken and fish meals,-either frozen or chilled?

Also are mug shoots still free?
Thanks for any advice.

Aldi benefit bars are nicer than Alpen bars imo. 2 for your healthy extra B.
Aldi do a lamb rogan josh ready meal which is 1 syn for the whole thing and can be cooked from frozen, great in a hurry or when takeaway is calling.
There is a group on fb called 'syns allowed' which is an excellent resource for looking up syn values. Also 'pinch of nom' who do a weekly roundup of all the good SW friendly foods in the supermarkets that week. Good luck!

Thank you Thats That's really helpful. I will check out both groups. I bought the Cajun Cape hake fillets yesterday from Sainsburys.
They're featured in the current SW magazine. £4 for two, and 1.5 syns each. We had them last night. They were really tasty.

Great about the Aldi benefit bars. They are on my list. Smile I saw the lamb curry from Aldi in the mag yesterday, but I don't eat lamb. looks a great hearty curry though.
