Hi Jess. Sounds like you are maybe doing something like not weighing your healthy extra a and b. This tripped me up when I started and also maybe take more care when syning sauces. I had the same issues and then I kept a food diary one week and my consultant looked over it, I wasn't eating enough and the things I mentioned above were my blocks to a great weight loss. Hope this helps. Good luck, it's so difficult but you are on the right path now. 😊

Hi, no I did weigh out my health a and b extras correctly the only thing I changed was the milk from skimmed to 1% fat milk and I ate a few less syns rather than full 15. Thank u x

Just take care that you are definitely eating enough. It's easy to think SW is like any other diet but you really can eat until you are full. Good luck Wink xx

Ah! I posted a similar thing a few days ago and was told by someone that I was eating too much and that I could definitely lose weight as witnessed in the nazi concentration camps! Jeez!!

Sorry, I haven't any advice really but just to say you're not alone.

My problem is I'll lose a bit and then gain it back, etc, etc until the point of giving up. I'm trying really hard to just stick with it but I'll admit it's a bit soul destroying.

OP i am a kindred spirit

I too lost only a lb my first week despite sticking to the rules religiously and feeling despondent

I'm giving it 6 weeks

I've started it this past week. I can't eat as much food as I'm meant to, it would cost me bloody loads to buy it all too!

I did the 5:2 before and I think I might go back to doing that.

My mistake when I started was adding the speed food on top of my meal instead of replacing a third of my meal with it!

Jess it's not just about eating more speed, as a PP days it's about replacing part of your meal with it.

So imagine your plate is split into 3 thirds, put speed on one third BEFORE you plate up the other bits. And be sure to reduce the amount of the other part of the meal.

Also, even if you, for example, make a spag Bol with loads of onion, mushrooms and tomatoes in the sauce, you still need to plate up a third speed, then the other 2 thirds pasta and bolognaise.

Does that help?

I agree it is about swapping food for speed, not just adding it. I have overnight oats with fruit but lunch and tea are 50% or more speed food, I love veg so that suits me. Do when going chilli I have it on a bed of cauliflour or brocolli with maybe a bit of rice, but not always.
Fill up to your boots on speed, and use protein to fill you up.
Anything that is free food but not speed fills the gaps in between but for the best weight loss use the s and p.
Your weight loss will partly depend on your starting point and how much you have to lose, it is slower as you get nearer to target because a thinner body requires fewer calories to maintain weight. Average for me is about 1 - 1.5 per week with occasional higher amounts for weeks were I may have been more active.
Good luck
