loopy, my Consultant says that around a 10 pound weight loss is a dress size down.
However, she also says that when we first start SW,that initial loss might not be enough to feel clothes becoming looser, and that's because they were too tight in the first place, and we just didn't want to buy the next size up.
So the first 10 pounds or so might just mean that our current wardrobe is more comfortable.

Hi. I've lost 18lb and can now fit into one size down. Found some things in my wardrobe that fit me now!!
I reckon my trousers felt loser with the first 7lb tbh
Nobody has noticed, or said they've noticed but I'm still wearing the same size uniform to work. It's just nice to have some room in it nowGrin

Well done , I can't help but think the scales are wrong at SW HmmGrin
This is the first diet that I've ever stuck to and it's pretty much become a way of life I don't miss the chocs or savouries that much atall .. I'm hoping that I've lost another couple of pound this week I'm so impatient with getting down a dress size Smile

It'll depend - for me it's about a stone and a half to go up or down a dress size. I suspect height has a lot to do with it.

To be honest it took a long while at the start, not becaus so wasn't losing weight but because I'd allowed myself to get to the top of a clothes size (probably even the next size up).
I've also found along the way that it isn't an even thing. Some pounds get lost from places that don't seem to affect my dress size, and then all of a sudden I changed a size for what felt like a small amount of weight loss.

Oh and I think it's way more than ten pounds for me to lose a size. Probably a little over a stone.

Did you take any 'before' measurements loopy? That's something that helped. I've lost only an inch of my waist but 2 inches off my thighs. My legs were massive tho, think tree trunks!

Popular wisdom is that you start noticing at one stone and other people start noticing at 2 stones - but I suppose it depends where you start from.

Hello, as you can tell by my name I am not a mum but a dad. Sorry if I'm not allowed here lol. So my dw suggested I join mum's net, as I want to lose weight and could really do with some support and help. I'm not fat but a bit podgy. But at 6ft 5 I guess I pull it off well. I'm looking at doing the 30 day shred and was wondering if any of you ladies had tried it and what were ur results if u don't mind me asking

I think it depends how much you have to lose in the first place. For me it was noticable just before I got to 10% of my weight loss (1st 9) but I have about 5 to lose.
