Just need a bit of advice..I gave DS a dummy which he totally loves and still goes to sleep with, we went through a phase with him though when he was tiny of every time it fell out he would wake up and I would have to go in and put in back in..so I was up loads in the night doing that! I really don't want to repeat this with DD (who is 12 weeks) so I am being very careful about when I let her have her dummy, I don't give it to her when she goes to bed and she is happy to settle herself to sleep. She has been waking for a feed once in the night but last night when she woke up I was so tired I gave her the dummy just to try and get 30 mins more sleep! and she happily sucked it and then went back to sleep until the morning, so she can't have been really hungry when she first woke up. I am just worrying that if I get into the habit of giving her the dummy when she wakes rather than feeding her she is not going to be able to settle hereself at night without the dummy and I am going to be in the nightmare dummy putting back in routine again... What do you think?
