How do you get your LOs to have a longer post lunch nap?

Hi, this is my first post, so sorry if I don't use all the abbreviations, as not sure what they all mean yet!!

I have an 8 month old boy, who sleeps very well at night 7pm-6am (at the moment!). He then goes back down from 9am-10am.

I've recently started feeding him lunch at 12 and putting him down at 12.30. Initially he did 2 hours which was fab, but now a week later he's waking after the first hour. I've tried settling him back as quickly as I can, but to no avail. He'll then need a final nap later in the afternoon.

I'd really welcome any tips on how to encourage a longer lunchtime nap.

Thank you

Tricky one yo might have to just go with the flow, but you could try cutting the morning one down to 1/2 hour and or shushing back to sleep after the 1st hour.

I'd make the post lunch one later as he may not be properly tired if he had an hours nap only a short while before. Alternatively you could shorten the morning nap so he is more tired for the one after lunch.
