WHAT CHANGED?!

We are about to throttle dd!

For the last 2 nights, she has refused to go to bed until gone 8pm. Before Tuesday she would always be down by 6.30pm and always went down awake and let herself settle.

We put her in her cot now and she SCREAMS and SCREAMS til I cant bear it anymore. As soon as she is up she is smiling and happy and wants to play. She is virtually falling asleep when we put her to bed, so we know she's tired, but its as if going in her cot is a wake up call!

What's gone wrong?! What can I do?! Really dont want DH walking her round the block in her pram at 9pm again tonight!

oh JM these little weirdnesses happen all the time don't you find? Probably just hurty tooth or change in weather or something. Don't worry it will pass!

Honestly dd who is 2.5 has been through about 20 different bedtime routines etc and still thinks up new ones every other night

You're def. not the only one but my dd is 22 months and just switched from sound asleep by 7 after a story to insomniac demon. It isn't teeth. She went into a bed about two weeks ago but loved it... the whole tucking in routine. Suddenly she won't sleep without me in the room and is waking in the night. Can't be seperation anxiety at this age surely??

I am going through the same too!!!! I also posted a thread!!

Slight difference though - my DD is only 7 weeks and therefore I've been told that she will go through changes often at this age.But like you, you always went down by 6.45pm without any hassles but now won't go until 8.8.30pm. DH was up with her until 8.40 last night. The times are getting longer! I have thought that it could be the weather or maybe the bright light. We have black out rollers but there is still some light coming through the gaps. Am going to try different blinds that someone rec. from online.

anyway, will be thinking of you tonight whilst settling DD!! Hope your LO settles soon

take care
