Sleep

19 month old dd still won't settle by herself! Advice please.

Our dd has never managed to go to sleep without either a feed or being held before she drops off. She's also a very light sleeper so even when she does drop off in my arms, she will wake up as soon as I transfer her into her bed.

Dd hates lack of company at night times but this cannot go on forever! Ds who is 4 has never had this problem and was pretty much a text book baby.

I know I've probably left it too late to do anything about it now but how can we get dd to settle on her own? We read her stories, sing to her, one of us occasionally feeds her (yes am still bfing and really want to quit to be honest!)

Any advice would be helpful, thank you.

No advice but wanted to say you are not alone. DS is 20 months and is still fed to sleep. Only just managed to stop feeding over night. Nap time is the worst - DH has to rock him to sleep.

Well, this is the first time I've posted in the sleep topic so I shall continue to watch with interest.
