has anyone any suggestions to help me ,get to sleep at night, i am tired when going to bed, i read for a bit and then try to go to sleep but my brain won't shut down, I 'm always thinking about stuff, trivial stuff, not worrying about anything.

Its beginning to drive me nuts and was wondering if anyone had any ideas.

many thanks

Are you the same person I advised to try the finger holding technique?

Sounds like you need to wind down more. Have you tried yoga or some other relaxation technique? Might help your brain shut down.

DO you do the usual 'sleep hygiene' things like no caffeine in the evening, a warm bath, no tv in th ebedroom, etc?
Also, you could try making a list of all your worries before going to bed. That sometimes helps me.
If all else fails, there's Nytol or the herbal stuff too. SOmetimes a few nights of that can help you get back into the habit of falling asleep.
