Do you have a memory foam mattress?

If so, how deep is the foam layer? Is 50mm enough? (Am tempted by Argos half-price sale, but don't want to waste money if 50mm isn't enough)

Don't want hot. Yuk. This is integral to the mattress, though, so may not be so bad. Think I'm going to have to do a proper tour of a bed shop though. Suspect if I do my usual thing and impulse buy, we may live to regret it.

We also have full foam matress. Its the best thing in the world. Toppers are a waster of time. Treat yourself to a proper full one if you can - you will adore it.

We don't have the mattress, but we do have memory foam pillows. Recently stayed away and could not sleep on 'normal' pillows. Don't know if that's agood thing or a bad thing though .

Anyway I love them dearly.

This is beginning to sound like work. I'm hopeless at doing the legwork, and like to make a quick convenient purchase! Oh well, new mattress is already overdue, I'm sure it can wait a little longer. Thanks for advice.

DS had a new mattress (due to back problems) this year, and he has a pocket sprung mattress with a memory foam layer on top. It is fab - he still raves about how comfy it is!

Cost more than a fully foam one though!

MIL has one, and DH & I slept in her bed last time we stayed. Didn't really like it to be honest. First off it felt really solid, then more comfy as it moulded round you. All fine until I rolled over sleepily and then it felt rock hard again.

Think it's one of those things that you love or hate - MIL thinks it's fantastic. You'll have to go and do the embarrassing rolling about in the bed shop bit...
