Is anyone else having the same problem as me??? My 5 month old used to sleep through the night and had 2 breast feeds while still asleep, but now she's decided to wake up fully at around 3-4am!!! She shouts dadadadad and plays with her dummy and even giggles to herself!! Health V. recommended I started her on solids so I have, but that isnt making any difference! She usually plays for about 2-hours. Havent been getting her out of her cot, I just lie in bed, waiting for her to go back to sleep. Im knackered!!!

If you know that she's safe, and she is, then go back to sleep. DT1 did this for a while and now she's stopped. You're doing the right thing by not getting her out. Hopefully she'll get bored.

Thanks for the advice!! Im glad it's not just me having this problem! The only thing is though, MarsLady, I try my best to go back to sleep but I just can't! Don't know why! Thought she might have stopped waking up now that she's eating a bit as well. Never mind, I've coped for 5 months of sleepless nights, I'm sure I can manage a few more months!!!

my ds is tge same. started waking up at 4 for a feed and 5 for good with 'dadadada gurgle' around the 5 month mark.

He's been on solids for ages so that wasn't it
Tried being as boring as when he wakes up in the hope he'll drift off again, but nope...
Tried walking round the flat rocking him back to sleep... nope

Unfortunately we can't leave him in his bed as he shares a room with dd and we don't want him to wake her as she's the anti-christ if woken up before ready

Ah well I've managed 3 years+ with sleep deprivation (dd was terrible sleeper), what's a few years more
