I can't wait to hear the response to this. I woke up this morning with DD (5.11) and DS (2.8) in my bed. I didn't wake up either but I really ache now. Well, I did spend the night with no pillow and squashed by the wall!

what about a stairgate accross their door unless they can open them

would thery shout to wake you up if they can't get in

OR what about a hook/eye thing on your door so it can be open a little bit but so they can't get in. you get them in B&Q they go from gates or sheds etc

Well we on day 3 of shutting are bedroom door. Well actually put a huge old trunk against door. He awakes screams for 10 mins or so then goes back to bed or jumps in with older sister. He is so proud of himself when he wakes up. Should have done this a long time ago when he couldn't talk!!!
He feels great and its amazing how much better you sleep without kids in bed!

My 5 year old comes into my room in the middle of the night sometimes. Usually it's only once or twice a week, and there's only the two of us in there so it doesn't really affect my sleep. But often I don't realise she's there until I wake up in the morning.

I'm just worried now that her sister (who just went into a real bed) will do the same thing and then there really will be a tight squeeze in the bed.

Britaboard, where are you? (Abroad somewhere, I'm guessing!)
