So my daughter has started a new nursery 3 mornings a week
She goes to nursery 8.30 - 1.30pm
I pick her up she has a drink in the car & calms ready for nap when we arrive home.
She then goes down for a nap 1.45/2pm but she is only napping for 1.5 hours !!!
On a day when she isn't at nursery she will nap for 3 hours.
Bed time is 7.30 / 8pm depending on what time she wakes from her nap but she is now also fighting sleep at bed time on nursery days too
she gets up in the morning at 7.30 ish.

Is she over tired / over stimulated at nursery ?
How do I over come this ?
She's always been such a good sleeper & loves her sleep so struggling atm.
Any help / advise ?

On short nap days, I would bring bedtime forward to compensate.

How old is she?

She is 21 months old

I haven't tried an earlier bedtime as yet as she already fights it.
she is the type to never stop no matter what, she would go full force all day unless she is put to bed at nap time & bed time.
Only sleeps behind bars 🤣grin

What are you trying to fix? Do you want her to nap for longer on nursery days? She seems to nap quite a lot; my 17 month old only naps for 1-1.5 hours max (sometimes less) during the day and is always awake by 2pm. Any later than that and he won't go to bed until 9pm. I would think over the course of a week that she's getting plenty of sleep.

She is waking from her nap crying on nursery days ... which is not like her when she has had enough sleep she wakes happy.
& she is crying for an hour on & off before she goes to sleep at bed time on nursery days. Home days it's all fine.

On non nursery days she will have 11.5/12 hour night sleep & 2-3 hours nap
Nursery day she is falling to sleep an hour later & only napping for 1.5 hours so is only having 12.5 ish hours

Can she nap at nursery before you pick her up? It's difficult to suggest that you try and lengthen the afternoon nap because then she'd end up waking so late! I agree with PP than an earlier bedtime might work. For what it's worth, DS often wakes up from his naps crying. He doesn't really need more sleep, he's just annoyed at waking up!

Naps on nursery & home days are at the exact same time to try & stick to the routine; 1.45/2pm
She naps until 4.30/5pm some days but will still go to bed & straight to sleep at 7.30/8pm on non nursery days.
I'm just thinking is she over stimulated / overtired from nursery.
She's cranky & miserable after her naps on nursery days too.

Wow, she's an amazing sleeper! I'm so jealous! I'm out of suggestions I'm afraid; I find DS sleeps better after nursery. He was on holiday over Christmas and it was clear that he didn't have enough stimulation.

That's why I'm abit lost, she's always been an amazing sleeper. Put her down & she goes straight to sleep with no fuss at all ... but since nursery she's been a different child.
I'm putting it down to over-tiredness / over stimulated but I'm not sure what I need to change to fix it 😣 sad
Maybe the earlier bedtime on nursery days Is my only hope for a less grumpy girl.
