White noise

DD is 13 weeks and I nurse her to sleep while playing white noise and continue to play it when transferring her into her next to me as this is the only way to keep her asleep or settled when not on me!

My brother in law told my husband that it was awful to use white noise as they will have loads of sleeping problems and be unable to sleep without it.

So now I'm feeling like a terrible first time mum who was just doing what she could to get some sleep and my husband is panicking about it! Is white noise really that awful?!?

Just ignore! My kids are 20 months and 2.5yrs and they have white noise on whilst they sleep (through the night from 7 months )

It's also so good that me and my DH have it on now too! 😂😂

Yeah, so it's probably a bit addictive. But we just take an Alexa / our iPad to others houses if we stay over and play it there.

It won't be forever.

It also turns off after a couple of hours and they sleep through just fine without it x

No it’s brilliant and will be easy to phase out as they get older, just turn it down and the eventually off

We now have a white noise machine which is brilliant as it’s easy to carry out with us when we go away for the night

I used white noise with my twins until around age 4. They were always great sleepers and still are.

They are 8 now and only surfaced at 9:45 this morning so it certainly did them no harm.

I used it every night until so was about 8 months and then when needed afterwards. He’s 2.5 now and sleeps wonderfully without it.

If it helps then use it and don’t listen to anybody who says it’s bad
