15 month DS wakes most nights, usually 1/2am and can only be comforted by leaving cot for breastfeed. Has to then fall into a deep sleep and be transferred back. Goes off to sleep fine at night by himself and naps well in the day. We try to feed him up before bed in case of hunger. Pretty sure he's warm enough. Shares a room with sibling so difficult to keep him in cot instead and offer comfort in room as he goes bananas if not given a cuddle.

Do I put up with it and hope his sleep matures? Or do I do something else? If so, what?

I have nearly 15 month old twins. They have good and bad nights. My girl is mostly sleeping through except when ill/teething. My boy has been waking at least once a night since he turned 1. He doesn’t have milk at night any more. Will be settled with a cuddle whilst we lay next to him (they are in single size floor beds). I’m pretty sure it is teething related. Has been cutting his first molars since he turned 1. He will stop waking eventually. It sounds like you are doing the right thing and I’m sure your boy will sleep through when he is ready.
